Help with cleaning engine bay

Rite guys i need sum help,
I have recently changed my car and i wanna clean my engine bay up, what do ppl recomend?

i mean its a mess at the moment so do u reckon i need any solvents to help or just soapy water.

erm seriously, anything that breaks down oil should do the job! and then give the soapy water a go! smileys/smiley2.gif

OK goes my mate uses sumthing called gunk, which is a heavy duty grease cleaner for cars.

gunk is strong shit! my mates de greases his engine parts with that! yeh, try that!

apparently if you give it a quick blast with a jet wash that helps... but the water might get in if you go mad lol
