to be honest there not that quick, had a go with a few at oulton park last year and he couldnt get past me, gained a little on the straights but i dont rate them. the only quick one i have been in was a lotus exige with a type r engine with tricky ecu etc. that was quick!!!!

vtecs arnt all that tbh mate, good driver in a vts against a shit driver in a ep3. only real vtecs i rate are integra,accord or s2000 vtec and nsx if they are.

In theory with the specs it shouldn't be too hard

The civic type-r's tourqe is 145 lb-ft , and 1204kg heavier
The mk1 saxo vts is 107 lb-ft , and 935kg

So that's nearly 300kg lighter, yes the civic does have nearly 200bhp but those stats could easily be matched and beaten

My ep3 only made 107lbft of torque on the rollers. Usually they are about 120 standard iirc so that figure is a tad optomistic :)

You say you want serious answers... What kind of VTEC are we talking here? A 1.5 Civic with VTEC-E that makes something like 130bhp, or an S2K with 240 (ish) bhp?
