iv just heard that if the 6th, 7th and 8th letters on the chassis number are the same then it will fit. does anybody know if this is true?

chances are it will fit but you will probably need the loom and ecu from the 106 to!... that means you will also need the keys!.... why dont you just get a cam kit?

cause i can get a spare head with cam fitted and vernier pulley all for 180 quid! why would i need the loom etc just for a head swap? would be just like swappin for a vtr head with a cam kit fitted wudnt it?

well it depends if the injectors and all that are the same!... the ecu might even be different!... you will have to see the car it came off and compare them... if the head looks the same and all the components are the same then there is a good chance it will fit!..

the head looks the same it has exactly the same rocker cover too.
i just thought that the engines were the same in saxos and 106's
like
1.0l 106 = 1.0 saxo
1.1l 106 = 1.1 saxo
1.4 106 xsi & quicksilver = 1.4 furio etc
1.6 106 rallye = saxo vtr
1.6 106 gti = saxo vts

think thats right! smileys/smiley5.gif
