Hello guy's,

Been looking at various bit's for my car and due to Insurance cost's cannot do any major engine upgrades such as cam/remap etc.

So im looking for a good enclosed induction kit and have been told the BMC (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/manufacturers-543/bmc-air-filters-642/bmc-cda-enclosed-induction-643/bmc-cda-enclosed-induction-citroen-saxo-vtr-98-black-carbon-169.html) is one of the best and that it come's with everything you need?

Would this be over-kill for a standard VTR engine though or is it worth the money? The only other thing's im looking into doing is a manifold change and performance backbox.

Cheers,

Mclarenmatt.

Edit: Other one I was looking at was Raceland Enclosed Induction with Green Filter (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/club-discounts-63/saxperience-64/raceland-green-filter-citroen-saxo-vts-2096.html)?

yeh a bit over kill unless your getting a good eaxhuast set up to. stick to a green panel filter upgrade on a standard engine. unless you want some grunt then get a pipecross open cone.

Neither are cams unless they either Dyno it, or remove the rocker cover and get someone who knows what to look for to take a look.

So if I was to get a manifold and backbox it would be worth getting?

Might as well use this thread to ask another question too, what is the advantage of a stainless steel backbox over mild steel? Do they just last longer before they rust out etc?

Yeh stainless steel is less prone to rust and cracking from heat.

You might want to put a centre section on your list mate lol. Theres no point in getting a decent manifold and backbox to screw up all the gains you could be getting through having a standard thin centre section.

Just something to think about.

Green panel filter ftw.
