The pipe coming off of the manifold cover to the air filters. What is this for and is it needed? and can i just block it off or have a pipe from the air filter to the grill?

the pipe from the mainfold is for cold start - its not really needed is up to you so if you want just take it off and get some flexi hose from air filter to grill

Ahh so i could just leave it off? and have no pipe?

yeah as long as you blank it off where it connects to the induction piping

Ahhh so could i just remove that whole bit of piping up to the filter itself and then replace it with one pipe to grill?

You don't need it but fuel economy will suffer quite badly without it during colder weather

Yeah i dont like it there so after mot i will remove it :) dont want to take it off and find out it needs it to pass? Lol
