was looking at the posibility of trying to up the power on my mk1 vts.... was wondering what everyones opinion is.. bigger engine or modify the one thats in it alothogh it sits at 95k at the moment........ really looker at no more than than 1000 over the next 6months.... what you guys think??

There screaming little engines the 16v ones, shite gearboxes though.

Give it some changes, however you really wont start to notice any different until you start swapping cams etc etc. Best thing to start with is a decent exhaust and air filter, plus a bigger FPR out a VTR to balance it out (3.5 Bar)

i think FPR is fuel pressue regulator

you don't need to get a bigger FPR in my opinion.. any fueling issues should be dealt with with a remap.

I would get an exhaust / manifold and induction kit first.. the next stage is cams and a remap

as kam says you shouldnt really adjust fueling by just swapping the regulators.
induction kit
manifold
exhaust
cams
remap
although you will struggle to do all that for under £1k

yeah Tom and Kam are right, deal with the easy and more obvious things like induction kit, exhaust and manifold then move on to the bigger things, eventually resulting in fitting some forced induction :)

thats great guys it gives me something to aim for.... is there any preferences to manufacturers etc i.e. k and n, janspeed etc that really stands out??

i would go with tuning and put a turbo coversion in the there if i were you.

Defo cams mate.....Thats what im looking to do, iv so far got full exhaust system, induction kit & my 4--2-1 manifold.
I just need to get fixed up with some cams and a remap!

your a little ahead then all ive got so far is new brakes ANOTHER axle, white dials and a snooper lol but i'll get there
