1998 gti onwards = leather seats
2000 gti onwards = 24mm rear arb
only differences made from when the gti began life in 1997
they have 134bhp per tonne iirc, but not 130 bhp ATF

Early GTis were 24mm ARB. Later were 22mm.
Think all had leathers as option, and later leathers had airbags.

always wondered this? why leathers and half leathers etc? for the gti? obviousley an option but was there a price diff? the gti is top of the range so it seem odd to ffer a lower budget? although it isnt uncommon these days

ah i thought not, the guy that said the later gtis had 130 bhp alsp reconed that one of theese '' later gti's '' would also make 150bhp with exhaust and induction
