Got given one for free by a mate, but Im unsure of these filters? He says he got it from Argos lol.
Anyone came across these before? Are they any good?

well i assume as your considering putting an ARGOS filter on your car the one you have is standard so cant relay see it causing a problem, anything is better than standard french so i would give it a go and see how it works out:y:
but tbh the clue realy is in the name ARGOS

I know but he says it made a really nice sound :y:
Even if it is crap, got it for free so WiN :y:
Was just wondering if the mpg would go down if I put it on etc.

wont give you any perfomance increase jus noise, but if thats all your after go for it!

Yeah I was seriously doubting any performance increase from an Argos filter LOL
Ah well, will give it a go anyway :D

not that bad tbh its just a cone filter with MaxPower slapped on it:y:

Youre probaly loose power over the standard air box imo, no doubt noise will be better though.

heatsoak, all open filters (with no heat shield) will loose power due to sucking in the hot engine bay air.

Im running open cone filter on my Rs focus rally car,and dont suffer with heatsoak,flat spots or loss of power.................:homme:

you probably have a good air feed and are constantly travelling at a rate of knots ;)

yer but isnt the filter well away from anything really hot?
