exhaust piping

if i was to change my exhaust pipes to bigger diameter ones would my car sound any different. right now its got a jap back box with a de-cat and it souns bloody good,but would doin the pipe work make it any louder?

yes, however the back box would need replacing for the new bore and that might bring it back down to an exceptable level.
