hum firstly me thinks you shouldnt be doing it with a vtr i know your swaping engines but why not save the hassel and get a vts? unless you are talking about a vts engine that will stay out untill all nessessary work is done to it then putting it in? basically your looking at cost of engine and all additions ecu etc exhaust straight through the turbo and additions and a hell of a lot of man hours around the 2500+ region i reckon poss

noooo i think its gunna be about triple your estimate to have it done good.... im sure some of the more clued up turbo guys will tell you...
also do some research into the subject from your comment of the manifold you dont seem to know a great deal...you gotta get one fabricated for the turbo to go onto..

No point getting a manifold mate as you'll have to get rid of it when you get the turbo. I hope your planning on telling the insurance on the engine swap and the mods????
You'd be looking at roughly anywhere between £6-10k mate for all that including labour and other parts such as brakes etc.

you're 20/21 aswell..
insurance would definitely be your first port of call

prices can go from £5k upwards mate, all depending on how far you want to go,gotta think about internals and maybe gearbox mods if you wanna run high power

just go jap mate and buy it all done... they make loads of smallish cars with good power from standard if your that bothered about power.. smileys/smiley2.gif

why bother with nos and turbo at the same time.
turbo itself should satisfy you enoughm you wouldnt be looking for nos

I wouldnt bother with nos but Nitrous is a very good cooling agent, and will help inlet temps massivly so the power gains for the same boost would be immense, thats why id use it.

well firstly think of the future, can you maintain it...! after the cost of say £7.5k for the work done (thats being generous)
its not a case of bodge it & scarper.... y do you need a 4-2-1 manifold!? Turbos need then custon made! smileys/smiley5.gif & ill presume they are 4-1!? its not just the engine that will need attention, running rear, bottom end etc etc....!
if your flush fair play, hand the car over to the experts & say just give me the bill.... smileys/smiley4.gif

whats going to the autosports show got to do with this? a bike engine in a saxo pretty much makes the car unsellable as noone will want to purchase it, a turbo however can be removed with ease and the car returned to standard (plus they dont have to cut it up etc)
a bike engine just revs but it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding compared to a turbo vts.
everyone dreams about this question and very little actually follow it through.
