Well as most of you know I had problems with burning oil. The car has had the valve stem seals done. When looking at the old ones they were it bits.

The pistons were checked and there was no scoring or anything which was good. The head gasket and cambelt has also been done.

Now here comes the problem:

The car runs sport on for a mile or so then starts juddering and the engine management light comes on, you then have to keep the engine revs above 2000 to keep it going. This will then stop after a short period. We then tried it again and it did it after 100 feet.

When it runs ok apart from this. No smoke or anything. Temp is also fine.

This leads me to think it is a sensor. The LED Diagnostic Tester wont seem to connect to the car either so cant find out possible problems from this.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be?

Any help would be great
