Backfiring

Basically i decatted my car yesterday however the centre pipe is still silenced; i assumed it probably wouldnt backfire and after driving 70 miles it didnt do it once.

I let my girlfriend have a go in the car and as she struggled to change from 1st to second because of the stiff clutch it popped twice!

So my question is, do silenced exhausts normally pop? Or are they less likely to pop so have to be driven a certain way?

the popping you can here is the unburnt fuel in the exhuast like a mini backfire when i decatted my car have the same problem dont worry about it bud if you rev flat out in like 2nd gear and let off and let the engin slow you down it will pop and pop and pop
