help please

i have a whining noise when i turn my ignition on think it the fuel pump it doesnt stop until i turn ignition off ,shold it turn off??

i just got my vtr about an hour ago

lol welcome to our world haha,,, thats your saxo testin you mate lol .. they all do it lol.. test you for a few quid then there ok :D if theres no engine management or oil light on i wouldnt imagine it would be too bad one hour and you have a problem lol,, thats got to be a record... get it checked out mate

When you turn on the ignition the fuel pump primes for anything between 4 to ten seconds then stops, thats the wurring you hear foum underneath the rear bench (where the fuel pump is located. Do you mean it just continues wurring non stop as long as the ignition is left on?
