Been offerd a raceland manifold for £50 is it worth getting and i dont know what im looking at i have seen it but dont know if its the right 1 and are they easy to fit on an Y 2001 vtr :panic:

You say its for a 2001 plate Y reg, these are the start of the later 98hp silver top engine with the oil filter located in a different area at the front of the engine than the engine that the manifold your talking about was designed to fit onto to.

You can move the filter, loads of people have done it. Tbh though if it were me i would just get something that is actually supposed to fit your car and not have to worry about it once fitted.

thanx mate yeh i have heard that you have to move oil tank think i will just save some money and get the propper 1 for my car off camracing

Yeh, its not the "oil tank" that you need to move its the just the oil filter lol.

Wouldnt want to go re-locating the whole "oil tank" just to fit a raceland manifold bruddaaa.

for £50 id go for it, not hard to move the oil filter. you'll have to do that for most 4-2-1's on a 98bhp vtr

Was the 98Bhp ever confirmed by Citroen btw? Genuine question.

thanx for all advice and would the janspeed with sports cat be any better than the raceland ?
