Dont jump in at the deep end mate.
I see your driving a VTR, a 16V + breathing mods should be good to start you off.

On a 8v or 16v?
Im making 160ish bhp and a lot of noise with all the mods you have listed above. You will need a standalone ecu though not a remap.

How long is a bit of string and how much do you wish to spend? You can spend a little as £200 on a ported head or over £2000. Fast road cams vary massively depending on the actual spec. Reall you could spend as much as you want and the more you spend the more power, reliability and usability you will get.

I would not bother though. It costs a lot and the standard ECU is very dated these days. There also a one shot deal and if you wish to change anything again it costs a lot to map again. Especially when you consider you can get a stand alone ECU and get it mapped for less then a price to map the stock one.

True, I understand that the OE ECU is dated, but the point I was making is that it can be done on it. And one thing to consider is that although it costs more to get the OE ECU mapped, you don't have the cost to buy it in the first place.

Give Andy a PM for a good price on fitted and fully mapped stand alone ECUs http://www.saxperience.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=20603

to get the head done by someone really good costs a fair amount. There is only one person in the UK I'd let loose on mine.
When you start specing up the engine its worth thinking about what you want to do in the future with it. Not worth putting in a mild cam if you want to further improve power down the line for example

Think you need to have a search around, there is lots of threads on each one. Read up on how they work and what complements them and build your spec up from there,
GMC Motorsport Can supply most thigs you need,
QEP Also
Pugsport
There is loads of individual companies, The best option isnt always the cheapest im afraid....
May need to considder alot of other things too....
