hi, i was wondering what injectors should i run on my vtr turbo, could i get some that are a direct replacement for the old ones?

they wont be fitted yet untill luthor1 has finished his ecu but would like to get some ready so i can fit them and map it straight away.

i will only be looking to run about 180/200bhp if possible untill i have it forged then will map it agen and run more boost....

what injectors do you think would be suitable? some one told me i could use clio sport injectors but i dont no weather these would be direct replacement and how good they are...???

i'd give qep a call mate, they will tell you what you need, i'd imagine something like 330cc's would be ample

If you're thinking of going for bigger power at a later date - is it worth buying one lot of injectors now, only to buy a different larger set later? Not a better idea to buy bigger ones now that'll do in the future as well? (Assuming of course they aren't so big that the IPW is so small at idle that they can't be controlled accurately)

Also - assuming you'll be running batch firing, and not fully sequential?

yea thats what im trying to say can i get big injectors now . and just map it but dont use them to their full potential. but later on when i forge it i can map it agen and wack them up...

is it not that easy?

Your original post stated that you were after injectors to deal with 180/200 (i'm assuming you mean @ fly, as you don't state that either), and you'll be after more once you get forged items. So would be an idea to state what power you're aiming for once you get the forged items - as the 330cc injectors suggested above may be fine for 200bhp, but they'd be no-where near if you then go up to 250@wheels for example

Yes it is fairly easy to use OTT injectors just now for lower power - but you've got to take things into consideration - like anything lower than 1ms IPW on idle and it might not be too accurate. So no point getting huge 800cc injectors that need to be open for just 0.3ms at idle.

sorry mate, yea thats a help, so you think it would be best to get the best i can out of the standard injectors an just use my fith injectors with the new pred ecu, then buy bigger injectors when i go forge so i am only buying them once and my car will actualy use them properly...

you have to brake it down for me lol, very new to this...

Standard injectors won't get you much more than 170bhp - if that.
Not sure if the Predator ECU will manage 4 standard injectors + an extra one/two. And defeats the point of going for standalone really.

I would either find some cheap-ish 2nd hand (but from a good source) injectors that will do you just now, that you can resell on at not much loss

or

have an idea of where you want to take the car in terms of power, and source some injectors suitable for that and use them with the lower power output just now (assuming that they're not too big to manage pulse width on idle)

:y: cheers so around 330cc injectors for now then upgrade later. i will shop around. im sure one of my m8s may have some.

its just the fitting now... where the injector plugs in doese that fitting/type have a name. so i can fine some that will be a direct replacement for my old ones?
