hi all

need a bit of information about the head of my engine.

i am to get my engine head ported polished and my mechanic needs some information to make the best from this,

he needs to know how much the valves are open when the pistons are at the exhaust stroke, (if that makes sense)

also a quick question is it possible to bore out the valve 'holes' and fit bigger valves if so what size and where can i get them from.

last question would be whats the safest but most amount that can be skimmed off a MK1 VTR engine??

thanks in advance

thats some serious shit and im surprised nobody answered

thats done of cam profile

not sure about the bigger valves though

why do you want to skim the head to raise comp your vaves will touch the pistons if to much and you lose top end

i know ill loose power if they hit the pistons thats why i wanna get it just right so they dont,

will need to have my cam before he starts so anyone with good power/value cam for sale let me know as still looking

im not so bothered about top end as speed limits are 70 and the only place im going for top end is track days, i want as much acceleration as possible but still a reasonable top end for track, just want my engine running nice and to its best possible (but safely)

not got the money for turbo or supercharge setups,

just want cam and breating mods, all the usual stuff that keeps us poor people happy

thanks for replying
