Hi guys, thinking of fitting a performance cam kit to my VTS. I wont be doing it until next year but no harm in planning.

Im looking for any advice on what degree cams would be best suited to every day driving but the enevitable often thrash back from work every day. Its already running 140 bhp but need more lol.

I've been looking at a full kit that Kent do, its got 262 degree cams and gives around 22+ bhp gain. any one with experience on this please reply.

Thanks, Dave

Right for a start, what have you do for 140bhp?

also with cams i would think 145 bhp max on a true dyno!!!

look at newman cams or catcams, piper

newman PH3, catcam 708's both these are good cams,

newman PH3 which i have a are very good, not bad with normal drving but very good once you rev them alot i love it :P

the peak power will move up the rev range well so have to rev it more for the power well once you get some uprated camshafts!!

that why i asked him, as cammed vts will only be around 140 145 bhp on a true dyno!!!!!!

stnadard cams with a few mod even if it the engine is perfect will not see to much increase!!!
