right i will be using a charade gtti turbo the actuator is rated for 8.5psi, what i was wondering is, if i use a boost controll valve would this allow me to up the boost beyond 8.5 psi without having to use and uprated actuator?? the theory being that the boost control valve will limit the pressure getting to the actuator so causing it to open the waste gate beyond 8.5psi??
anyone in the know id be very greatfull :)

Yes if you fit boost bleed valve it will bleed off the air pressure to the actuator and so make it think the turbo is running at a lower pressure than it really is.

same problem we are having on our 400bhp volvo project, boost controller will overide the actuator :y: its just finding the money for one now. See if you can find one with a safe mode on it. so that when it goes over a certain psi i shuts the engine down to save any damage
