Thanks,

yes it makes a big difference.....you do get a bit of vibration though.

i got a powerflex lower mount took me fifteen mins to get it on simple enough job...the main thing i noticed was a much smoother gear change..the vibrations wear in after a while.........

How much does a stanard mount cost from Citroen?

I don't want poly mounts, I just want to some fresh standard ones.

I've got a powerflex lower one on mine, didn't really notice a difference tbh. You get more vibration through the car but then again i suspose it depends on how used you are to having a smooth car, i was used to a stripped out mini so it doesn't bother me.

if the old one is worn you can fine that gearchanges are more difficult and the mount makes this nice and slick again.

Personally the vibrations have never really bothered much. When i had group a mounts on my pug i couldn't see out the rear view mirror when idling :) The missus digged the vibrations though.. couldn't understand why:zainy:

You could always get a standard mount and fill the holed areas with a rubber compound like stickaflex. Makes it a little stiffer, but not as stiff as the poly items, so no vibrations.

30 quid for a mount.. or 10 quid for a tube of sikkaflex.. mine are solid..

Do the uprated mounts make the car annoying to drive with iuts vibrations??

They dont cause the interior trim to vibrate EVEN more do they??

course they do, your stiffening up a something that mounts to a vibrating object, i.e your engine..

Half of my old clio fell to bits with a solid mount, lol.

I am going with stickaflex for the bottom mount, and new items for the other 2.

They won't be solid
they might be completely rubber
but after time I wouldn't be suprised if that stuff fell out the holes

my lower on my gti is classed as a solid mount
it's aluminium
pugsport group a mounts are ace
do shake on idle but up the revs there ace

I would simply by a powerflex (like I have on my vtr) than bodge something thinking it might work
