powertec induction kits does anyone know what they are like as i got a brand new one for 28 quid

There slogan is " Flows better than any other filter " which i find hard to believe.
Never tried one, but its a open filter, so dont expect much but a roar.

Most induction kits are all noise no power.
A couple will give you a couple bhp extra, but it wont be noticeable.

as said mainly noise, if its performance then get a panel filter in your standard nair box and dril a few holes in it.

I had one of these on my mk5 Zetec S..had a lovely roar to it but suffered ridiculous heatsoak and I actually lost power so went back to a panel filter. imo the heatsoak was so bad cause its an aluminium filter so the metal conducts more heat than foam or cotton

Its a filter that slots straight into your original airbox.

i ended up taking the old one out but leaving the old box and conecting the powertec one onto the empty box lol
