View Full Version : got piper manifold, doesnt fit exhaust help!!!

hey guys i have a piper 4-1 manifold on my mk2 saxo year 2000 think the cats under the car but when i got it fitted the cat was a smaller bore and would fit stgraight onto the manifold why is this if i got a aftermarket decat would this fit straight on?? thanks in advance iain

have you replaced the mesh o-ring on the cat?

i got it fitted at a garage they just told me it didnt fit they told me the bore on the standard cat pipe thing was to small but they bored it out for a temory fit, i plsning on grting a decat piper and a supersprint supersprint centre section just dont wana bu these and they dont fit lol

Rubbish it doesnt fit ! I have the same manifold going straight onto the cat, It fits fine, Mk2 Vtr 2000.

i think i have the same mani to (ive got a gmc one but belive piper made it or something)

sounds abit odd mate.

so if i got a decat then theroetcally it should just go straigh on?? lol thanks guys though it was weird myself lol oh and random question sport cat or decat?

vtr or vts

vtr runs a 48mm exhaust
and i think the piper mani is a 50mm
most aftermaret exhaust/decats ect are 50mm

i think you need the 50mm gasket
but im not a 100% sure
try kam-racing for it
