Idle control valve

just a question but it is very important,

i need to know what the sensor next to the idle control valve is,

can anyone help please,

its a blue R reg Mrk1 VTR

my mates 1.4 saxo might have aproblem with this.. his revs drop on idle when he blips the throttle
