white smoke is water, so unless you have left your car standing for a while, or its running slightly rich, is your rad water going down?

i have the same problem but the car seems to run fine, theres more smoke than a usual car and and oil leak so i think my headgasket has gone, anyone know how much this could set me back to repair? and whether its worth leaving or done straight away..

I had the same problem twice. Had to take the car to service and I dont know the name of small plastic base where the injector fits. Is like a plug. When that device got damaged (it is electronic) you can get tons of white smoke.

it sounds one hell of a lot to me if you bought the gasket for 21 quid!
ask one of the more expienced members to talk you though replacing one your self if you got the confidence to give it a go.
iv found that cars aren't really as hard as they first seem and have replaced many parts of my car myself and iv learnt a lot by doing it smileys/smiley17.gif
but im not to sure how hard it would be to do a head gasket though smileys/smiley13.gif

HG should be around All the parts to replace the hg including new oil, all usual stuff, plugs, etc, and timing belt, antifreeze, head skimmed etc cost less than £150, then its labour to do it so about £250-400 is ok inluding every part
