Just thought i post about the trouble i been having over past 4 days.
It began saturdaywith an oil leak coming from the plastic oil filter cover on my Vtr. The I found the leak coming from the casing about half way up, which looks like it was caused by previous owner/garage trying to remove it. i manager to remove cover and cleaned it up so i could seal hole untill replacement arrives (which i am still gonna be waiting another 2 days for). Once removed and cleaned there seemed to be no hole and no leak when filled with water. I have tried various methods of sealing where i found this tiny hole but there must be some pressure insider there as nothing seems to work.
I have tried the following:
-Melting plastic back over hole - failed
-puncture repair kit - failed
-Exhust repair - failed
-super glue - failed
-chemical metal - failed
:wall:
I thought i solved it with the chemical metal as i put on 6 coats and mesh between.
Just cant wait for new part to arrive as i am spending more in oil traveling to work.
Any help for the next 2 days would be appreciated.

sorry... but wtf... chemical metal.... on plastic?
puncture repair on plastic?
Exhaust weld on plastic??

whats wrong with a good couple of wraps of gaffa tape?

or an section of an old inner tube stretched over it then jubilee clipped tight?

common sense or what?
