well the plan is to get myself a green cotton panel filter,
i noticed people mentioning de-restricting the standard airbox when one of these is fitted and using a cold air feed tube,
just wondering what is involved in doing this?
it's on a 98bhp VTR engine btw.
anybody has any advice, guides or even a picture to show how they have done a similar thing to theres i would really appreciate it.
i did a similar thing to a corsa a while back,
removed a sort of reducer inside the airbox allowing more air into the filter (k&N panel filter) then drilled holes into the side of the airbox away from the engine and lead a cold air feed aswell as the standard air feed being left on, just to give an idea of what i'm after doing!

VTR_Craig junked the resonator box for a straight length of silicone pipe... have a search for his progress thread.

EDIT:

Looks like he's blocked the bottom hole off for the resonator box, but in theory there's nothing stopping you make another cold air feed from that to the front bumper etc.

that's the kind of thing yeah,
silly question coming up....
what's the resenator box for?, guessing by that it isn't paticularly important but at a guess there is a reason for it hahh,

Just for noise reduction mate.

I've also heard it can help low down torque too.

Dunno if there's any truth in that staement though lol.

It may do... these things are mostly trial and error. :)
