Hey just wonderd thers a lot of posts to do with iv done this speed and iv done that speed. with all the mods possible how fast will a saxo go? and stop? and what hight and specs ?would it be running at and on

Scott's probably the man to ask, but if i remember correctly the old m-developments car hit 163mph (supercharged vts with vtr gearbox) but i also remember scott saying it blew up shortly after smileys/smiley2.gif

I don't think there is a limit. I'm sure if enough money was put into it, then you could accomplish a lot of things.

yes the very one. i don't know the exact spec apart from it was a supercharged vts.

yeah but theres only so much pwer u can get out of a vts 16v engine and just wonderd what it was

the top speed of that he says is 140mph

ive had 137mph out of mine
1.6 16v
piper cams
induction kit
4-1 manifold and de-cat

top speed limited by the ger box, doesnt matter if your running 100000bhp you can only go as fast as the gear box allows. 163mph on vts engine with vtr gearbox is the fastest i have heard of so far.

cheers what other gear boxes are compatible with saxos? or is that the question thats stopping them going faster

longest box you can have as a straight swap is vtr box

Is there no way of modding another box that would fit with vts engine soz if its stupid question just trying to get info on this

there is the be3 but im unsure if any of them are significantly longer than the vtr box. You could get a custom made gearbox but thats going to be a few pennies.
