resetting ecu

im just wondering is there a way of resetting the ecu

and what would the effects of this be if i do it? im sure ive seen it mentioned a couple of times on the forums but cant find nothing

how do i go about resetting the ecu?

im just having trouble on getting s1 inlet to idle on my vtr, ive tried everything, its set up identical to a freinds inlet, his works fine but mine doesnt

so im wondering if resetting the ecu may help?

ovbisouly it needs a remap, and thats on the list hopefully will be in a couple of weeks, but just trying to find something on a temprary basis, or to get it working untill the remap

if you take the live terminal off the battery over night,
then when you reconnect it let it idle for a few minutes and take it out for a good spirited drive going up and down the revs,
use all the gears it can reset the sensors according to mods,
this usually done for little things like exhausts or induction kits,
doubt it would work for you but worht a try ehh
