The VTS has a lower final drive so it gives you more acceleration and less top speed. The XSi, S1/2 Rallye boxes are better than the S one aswell.

as above just give abit better acceleration

Maybe a silly question....but I have the choice between a VTS box and a VTR box (VTR Box reconditioned)

Does the acceleration justify getting a VTS box or shall I just get a recon VTR one?

not really worth it, the vtr box better suits the vtr engine imo. if the recon vtr box is cheap use that

I had a vts box on my vtr engine and I would say it pulled better so why not up grade if you need a new box anyway?

I think it sits ruffly 500rpm higher than standard at 70mph in 5th so economy goes down....but who cares about that:p

i heard that a furio gear box gives better acceleration because of shorter gear ratio. but that it uses way more petrol

if i upgrade to either a vts box or the s1 rallie wt happens with the clutch do i keep the standard vtr one in or do i change the clutch to suit the gearbox

the clutch will be fine if you've got a vtr already
