Anyone know if there is a timing mark on the crank?
My engine is on a stand without the flywheel so cant lock the flywheel, noticed there is a line on the crank pulley, does this line up with anything?
cheers

there is a small hole by the crank sensor which you can put an allen key into to lock the bottom end.
my flywheel had a little scratch on it at tdc. use this as a guide marker. but remove a spark plug and stick a long screwdriver into the hole and rotate the flywheel and find the highest point. now see if it matches the mark on the flywheel and lock it out.
there is a guage tool you can use to find tdc but i can never remember its name, plus it cost pennies which can be avoided by using my above method

Cant fit flywheel on while the engine is on the stand.
Can see a line on the crack pulley, was wondering if this lines up with a point on the block that shows me the timing marks?
cheers
