Hi mate . Depends how good you are with mechanics. A vts into a vtr is a straight forward swap easy to do mate

i might give it a go then, i previously owned 2 300+ bhp skylines and loads of hot hatches, ive always liked saxos since i first see1 its only a vtr at mo but think its a good little car, skylines are ok but cost a fortune when they go wrong and ive blown 2 turbos and melted a piston. i get as much fun throwing the saxo round b roads as i did looking at my skyline thinking where im going to get the next 2 grand from for new forged bottom end.
a question to you guys as im new to french hatches, how quick really is a 160 bhp saxo and reliable:wacko:

make sure you get an engine from the same age as your car and its quite an easy job.

rickyp rpm is the way forward. think its about 900 quid for engine supplied and fitted. obviously cheaper again if you get your own engine. 3 plug loom on a vts lump. i do believe you wont find no complaints about his work..
might even do you a deal on camming it and getting it mapped so you achieve you 150/160 bhp all at once.
