ok, well I was looking into a decat pipe and a back box, only there would be a gap of about a month in between the 2, with the decat coming first....

wouldnt it be easier saving up for that time and buying a full system which would decat it anyway?
Edit: I realise that you would still have to purchase a decat pipe but it would sound better smileys/smiley17.gif

yeh was thinking about that, but I dont want it really loud, just audible, but with the performance of a decat, hence why I saw the decat/backbox combo as a good comprimise...

well...what you could do is go to the scrappy, get the center section from a diesel saxo and a back box, that way you're getting the increased bore of the center pipe, decatting it annnnd you will have the nice sound from the backbox

yeh, tbh im not exactly skint, not rich either but I do try and buy the best things I can, so I think id rather have either a stainless system, or at least a stainless decat pipe rather than the mild diesel section...

I would agree with you 100%, it is a cheap way of doing it but whether you get the quality at the same time is debatable. I'd be the same, I've got a full stainless on mine.

yeh, I think im gonna get a decat pipe and a back box and see how it goes, maybe buy the rest of the system at a later date........what back box do you recommend, the inwardly rolled round ones have been done so much, was thinking maybe oval?

Yeah I have a magnex system on mine with the good ol' fashioned 3.5" rolled tail pipe...fits nicely in the precut hole in the bumper like. its just personal preference really, oval might look quite sexy smileys/smiley14.gif

You should take a pic of the rear of your car, post it on here and get someone to Photoshop some different styles of cans into the picture so you can get a feel for them before purchasing. smileys/smiley16.gif
