got told by some mechanic i need a new one, cba paying him to do it cos he's a prick.
1. What actually is the thermostat housing gasket?
2. Easy to replace?
3.Where can i get one from/anyone got one?

remove thermostat housing, clean faces, smear with silicone. Refit. FIN.

i used hylomars the same stuff i done my decomp plate with. my engine is held together with the stuff lol :Y:

Get some gasket paper + the holymar and you will be on a winner mate. Holymar is top stuff.

all the above or if its off and you want a new thermostat it should come with a new gasket bt tbh silicone is the way forward
