I am thinking of doing a vts conversion to my vtr. But then i got thinking would it be possible to fit a 206 gti engine without all the fabrication work? I only wanto to no this so i can see which will be my best option.

Yeah i no everyone says go vts but i just want to no if it is possible to fit the 206 engine without fabrication work.

A friend fitted a 206 1.4 engine in his 106 quicksilver.

He wasn't the brightest spark either. I can't see it being that hard, but never looked into it myself so couldn't really tell you what would be needed.

no, mounts dont match, cstom shafts would be needed too. vts engine is the easiest option

206 1.4 is the same family of engines as the Saxo range so a simple swop with a 106, 2.0ltr fitted to Gti is a different family of engine.

sell your car and buy a vts. cheaper than a conversion and you get the vts extras like airbagged interior passenger airbag, etc etc

get a 206 xsi engine (jp4) iirc while itsout a nice set of 708's or similar, cambelt pumpms :), re fit a gti inlet, and drop her in, dastek, or remap standard and your away, thats the best 206 engine that will fit with zero fabricatio to the chasis

im with this guy.. too many things can go wrong.

i dont want to sell my car as i have done to much to the interior.
