I have a 98 's' reg saxo and my immobiliser is being a pain in the ass, sometimes i can put the key in and it'll turn off and other times i can put the key in and be sat there a good ten minutes trying to turn it off.
I have been to the Citroen dealership and they said it was common problem on saxo's and that i needed a new iggy switch which wasnt cheap as they only come attached to a barrel and need re-coding etc.
Now im 90% sure that I can pull a fuse whilst the engine is running to 'unlock' the ECU and not need the immobiliser anymore but I have no idea of which fuse it is or where it is to be found, can anyone help me?
Failing that could I not just go to the scrap yard and pinch a new switch from another saxo?

it was prob the ring around the ignition barrel failing. This can be replaced with another one from a scrappers cause its not coded to anything. If you disconnect the immobliser with the engine running it unlocks the ecu though to disable it totally :)
