Hello,I am new to this forum
So i have the only Saxo Turbo in my country. The engine is from vtr 1.6 8v!
My question is will Low compression piston and rods which are sold in ebay for VTS engines fit to my engine 8v ?
thanks

i dont think they fit 100% without some work, could be wrong.

you could get intouch with companys such as GMC, Wossner and CITuning who do low & high comp pistons and rods specifically for the 1.6 8v VTR engine.

I am also going turbo on a VTR and i will be getting mine from one of those companys :) :)

They should also be able to arrange for them to be posted to your country :)

Look through here - CITunings turbocharging section (http://www.cituninguk.com/ProductList.aspx?section=Turbocharging) Page 3 :)

Iv seen this issue raised a few times in the last few weeks so I will tell you what I know on the subject to clear up everyone else's queries too.
As far as I know there are no pistons or rods made for the 8v engine so to speak.
If you are just wanting the pistons, you need to source a set of standard vts rods for them to join with.
Both bottom ends are very similar if not the same, its just the setup of pins and bolts etc in the rods...i dont fully understand but John at GMC did explain it to me in detail a while back.
Companies like Cituning and GMC etc list them as 8v parts but they will be more than happy to explain to you about the compatability issues.

thanks,so if i have both pistons and rods there is no problem to be fitted in vtr block with same 8v head

ok,my english is not very good but i hope that you will understand me.
As I said my saxo is the first in Bulgaria with turbo and the hardest thing was remaping because there was no equivalent.the car became very quick on 0.6bar at the begining.but on full throttle the car stop accelerating(i dont know exact word).I fitted bigger injectors(286cc audi a3) and the problem was fixxed
the question is why my map sensor doesn't make any problems with 1 bar of boost and approximatly 200bhp.The car is accelerating very well with standart fuel pump, fuel regulator at 3 bar

what ecu are you using?
the standard ecu shouldn't understand boost :s
IHI is a fair size turbo, must boost pretty well.
But in the answer to your first question, a set of forged pistons and rods should go straight in and will allow you to run some big boost. Email GMC mate.

the standart ecu 96' 1,6 8v bosch i think.in the begining i thought the problems is map sensor when feels boost and cut fuel, but with putting the bigger injectors everything is good....is that possible??.... i think that that map sensor indicates an error at 0.4bar to the ecu but allow fuel which is needed and the car just to run.
1/4 mile 14.5sec 163km/h....

the standard ecu will not recognise boost and also does not usually fuel bigger injectors.
the lambda sensors will be picking up error readings and along with other things will be causing cutting out, eratic running etc.
to fuel a boosted engine you need atleast an MF2 or other piggyback style management to fuel the bigger injectors effectively and usually a signal conditioner to stop any running problems caused my the standard ecu picking up on the boost levels etc.
Have you head of GMC?
If you search GMC Motorsport on google they have plenty of management solutions on their website and will be more than happy to help you out over the phone/email.
