Was out in it for about 5 mins till engine temp started going up. got to a slip road, started flooring it in second then 3rd, as i got near 6500rpm car suddenly died

First just the orange engine light was on then all other lights came on.

Tried restarting it immediately, then went back a hour later, still not starting. engine seems to be rocking a hell of a lot when trying to start, could it be related. Opened up cambelt cover, belt is still there.

Car turns over as it should, alternator belts etc all turn over. but cars not starting.

unplugged the ICV but didnt help. still just turning over.

is there a paperclip type diagnostics you can do? any ideas what could be, or things to check? all help / advice welcome

could be your ECU not putting fuel into the engine as it has picked up a fault code i would say disconnect your battery and leave it for 24 hours then try again

hope this helps.

Try puting the key in the ignition turn it on till you hear the fuel pump prime an then turn it off, do this 6 or 7 times starting the car on the last time. I do this when my engine light is on and it turns it off. I was told that the ECU recognies the fault and turns the light off. Its coz my car is decated but its worth a try with ur fault mites help
