i have been on the website and really want one, also searched a few threads and people seem to like it and it also gives good gains :)

anyone have an idea how the "race" and "road" systems are different and which would sound better??

opinions and discuss please :)

the road system uses a bigger backbox exit, its 3inch oval, so only difference would just be noise, the road one may be louder then race one as thats only 2inch exit

they should give same gains, just road one will be a bit loouder lol

i would of thought the race would be louder? or do they have to meet decibel requirements?

Yes. But generally when you have a choice of different size backboxes for a system, the biggest will be the loudest.

ah rite, i always thought a backbox is a sort of silencer, and the larger that is... the quieter the exhaust would be?

anyhow, which would you guys go for?

It can be yes, depends on silencer type.

But generally on system like this that are used on the road the silencers will be the same and the actual exit larger, making it slightly louder.

2" sounds alot raspier and in my opinion better. The 3" gives nore of a deep tone and is too loud in my opinion. It's all down to the sound you prefer though mate ;)

The race one looks nice - with the 2" tailpipe - the sound would be very nice !!! Will have to see ;)

Wouldn't be much benefit I dont think - just would be stainless and very light !

yer, would be a benfit to all the weight whores lol

how would it compare to the supersrpint race system with centre box noise wise? will it be much louder or quiter or bout the same you think, obviously it will be same sound as pugsport but ive not really heard a pugsport on full throttle so cant compare

It would be about the same I'd say - I'd only get one if I needed another exhaust IMO not worth swapping for one.

Trust me, the oval is loud enough, and pops like mad ;)

when we measured the supersprint was slightly lighter (1kg approx) that the peugeot pugsport. To be honest though the only real difference is the quality of build

I did read that it works best on Turbo setups

it sounds amazing and the car feels good with it on, but i wanna try something like this saxsport to see if i get any gains worth sacrificing the noise of the btb for. to be honest it would have to provide massive increases for me to give up the btb completely

Dont think it will give any more a gain tbh

Nothing worth swapping for anyway, and your BTB is rare ;)

hello guys

The big outlet pipe is just for looks, you could have the same silencor but have different tail pipe!
You will find that the 3" tail pipe will just echo the sound and would be hollow and loud tbh IMO not a good sound !
if you did have the same pipework all the way through would be same performance.
Just as a matter of interest the s/s system could possibly be lighter as it does not have to be made from such thick tube,
