1.1 performance after mods

been looking around at the factory specs on performance of the 1.1i's
couldnt find the eastcoast edition which i have but it says the 1.1s have 60bhp and a top speed of 102mph and 0-60 at 14.2.....

well ive had 110 out off mine and i think it gets to 60 abit quiker but ive got a performance backbox and sports cat and induction kit.im guessing that will only throw about another 4-5 horses more?

what does everyone elses 1.1s do?

we get these a lot man be be prepaired for it to go downhill rapidly (if it does expect it to dissaper tbh)

i shall start with i hope 110 wasnt on a public road (millionaire relative private runways seem popular places tbh)

and the only 1.1 i can think of is in my mates 106 its mpi (iirc the eastcoast is spi so not as good in that respect) ahd he made 70.7 hp on rollers the other day with a mani and full system and a raceland with a green filter on so a fair but fot a 1.1

just get your 1.1 looking mint until you can afford a car with a tuneable engine.

Get it looking good, catback, 4-2-1 manifold and induction kit.then just wait until you can get a better car until you start spending £1000s

oh believe me im not spending thousands.done what ive got to do now.just lower it.and yes the 110 was at a local private track.i do pay attention to the rules.i was expecting ppl to jst say save up for a bigger car or stick a new lump in it but all i wanted to know is how the exhaust and induction kit can effect the standard factory performance.

if its just a backbox and induction kit you have then you have probable gained about 1hp. Backboxes dont add anything tbh :(

i put an induction kit on mine and it was mint :D

it gives you more noice .. thats it, induction may giv u half a horse at the most! no point tuning a 1.1, jus get it looking smart by lowering it n getin some alloys or w.e, bt na i doubt uve gained any bhp jus you think your going rapiidddd cz of the noice lol

hahah.yeh just induction sports cat and backbox.its fine now untill i change it for a vtr.looks fine with the vtr bodykit jst needs lowerin

Your speedo may have said 110 that dont mean your car was doing 110, Dont forget the speed is usually 10% out. So your cay was probably doing 100/102

And as for 0-60 You usually can do it faster than the factory time!
