i have a vts and earlier i think the gearbox or clutch went (i think) as it wouldnt go into gear with the car running and the clutch pedal feels solid and hard to press down and hardley moves. altho it goes into gear with out the engine running and drives(when started) but as soon as you take it out of gear you cant select another. can anyone help as im seriously confused and dont no what to do???
thanks

sounds like either the cable has siezed, the release arms been bent or jammed, or thrust bearing has siezed.

yip gearbox out jobby. Same as above i reckon release arm due to the solid pedal . Mate had a similar problem but it turned out to be a blown diff.

sounds like clutch mechanism has packed up, arm bent or broke. either way its gearbox out time

were would i find the clutch fluid??? im pretty much useless when it comes to cars. ive just been and checked the arm and cable and both seem to be fine. the arm will move towards me but cant get enough pressure to push it up.
would i need any sort of specalist tools to have the gearbox out? and how hard is it to do?? or it looks like its go to go in the garage or to a cheap mechanic if anybody wants the work!!!
thanks for the advise so far boys

i had a similar prob with my 1.1, one of the gear linkages was not on correct, i popped it back and greased up all the other linkages then was fine. its an easy job to do your self before you send it to a garage.
