View Full Version : engine management light!!! wots rong?

rite my cars been off the road for about a week now due to repairs, i came to start it on saturday afternoon take it down the garage and the wasnt enought power to start it, i got the battery charger on it for a bit still nothing, tryed jumping it still nothing, i then took off the coil pack, checked and cleaned sparkplugs, made sure it was all ok and then re-assembled it. tryed to start agen and it fired no problem but now the engine management light is on and wont go off tryed to leavew the +ve off for a day 2 reset the ecu but still nothing!
any help would be great

its obviously a dodgy sensor or connection to that sensor, what repairs have you been doing?

nothing to do with electrics, oil change, spark plugs spose they are ish but t all back together fine, erm bottom arms and engine mounts

might just need a good run, has it been standing for a while?

also if the battery is not charged enough that can trigger the engine light as some sensors require 12v and others 5v, make sure the battery is properly charged then take it for a spin for about 30mins in all driving conditions.

mine has been on for ages started a week after fitting de-cat so might be lambda sensor? but the performance hasnt changed since its been on that i can feel anyway smileys/smiley14.gif

ad a look at it agen las nite still on even after driving and drove like shit, took it to me m8s an he plugged it in for me missfire on cylinder 2 so we swapped the plug to cylinder 4 then missfired on that so new plugs for her now lol
