1.1 Desire I've got, crunches when put into reverse 9/10 (When stationary) and always crunches when going 2nd > 4th.
Both of these I was easily able to do a month or so ago without any complaint from the car, any ideas what's up?
Cheers in advance. :y:

A crunch into reserve is no bad thing and can happen to the newest of cars however 2nd and 4th would suggest that your gearbox is pooing its pants and dying, they always seem to be going on saxos its terrible, like they are made out of cheese.

So basically just means that the thing will need replacing eventually. Got 73k on the clock, so fair enough really. How much can you pick 'em up for?

Yep, it will eventually get worse and worse, you can pick them up cheap as chips to be fair. great thing about saxo's plenty get wrote off so spares are more than readily available. i would suggest e-bay as a starting point but be wary of silly mileage claims "here we have this lovely 1982 volvo only having covered 643 miles from new" etc haha
