i have recentley done a tubo coversion on the saxo vtr and it blew the headgasket up so i hae fixed it but before i put it bk together i was wondering if the is any think i can do it so it dont blow up again
like would 2headaskets fit aswell as a 1and half mill aluminium plate wuld that lower the compresion and wont low up aain cheers ;)

do you have the decompression plate fitted already? also how much boost are you running

i have just had it fitted and its blew the engine up
its tottaly standard nw but want to put it all bk 2 gether but dont want it to blow up again
runnin at 6psi boost

so its running at 6psi and you have a decomp plate, what size head gasket are you using? and what management are you using for extra fueling

i aint got a de-comp plate i was thinking of gettin 2x headgasket and a 1.5mm aluminium gasket
and im running it with a fifth injector ;)

so you hadnt done anything to lower the compression?
you want a thicker head gasket and a decompression plate mate

1 last question on this subject
so i only need 1 comp plate
and 1x 1.7 headgast
wot seals the head/block to the comp plate or do i need 2 headgaskets 2 sandwitch the comp plate

With only 6psi and adequate cooling, and a proper ignition and fueling map, you won't need lower compression!!!!!
You may be blowing the head gasket because it needs skimming.
