Yes or keep your standard cat and centre pipe, then run a full length performance centrepipe. Usually works out cheaper than a decat + catback pipe.

so keep the cat and centre pipe for mot?
and the full pipe for normal, would that be really loud?
links to parts please!

just noticed that
this is the vts mani and cat deisgn and centre section. same for all vts's except for the addition of a second lambda sensor in the mk2

so what would i need to decat the car the cheapest but easy enough to change for mot purposes!
LeeM

a decat pipe to replace number 11 in the first pic, thats the cat.

so wats the sports centre pipe that would eliminate me not needing the decat pipe???
LeeM

that would go from the manifold to the backbox, 1 piece that removes the cat and silencer.

Its one long pipe instead of a decat pipe plus middle section. Makes it easier come refitting CAT for MOT and stuff.

so the one long pipe is easier to change than the decat pipe ?? i though it would of been easier the decat pipe been changed?

id rather change a decat pipe than a full length race pipe but thats just me lol. however if i was decatting id remove the silencer too.

i had a sportex straight through with an ashley backbox on a standard vts manifold, it was one of the loudest cars ive ever heard
scottthurlow

i dnt want it that loud so would they need to put 1 mid box in or a bigger backbox???

well i didnt think a cat made much difference, but ive put my btb on my mates vtr which has the cat in the mani and its its sooooo much quieter
