Anyone have one of these exhaust systems on their car?
Whats the performance gains with this system?
Also if i were to buy it what would be the best manifold for it, 4-2-1 or 4-1.

Thanks

I got one with the black painted Back box. I don't know what power gains i got but basicly i had the interior stripped and the standard exhaust on, then had to put the interior back in (which made it feel quite a bit slower) Then fitted this exhaust and it felt the same as when i had no interior! If your running a stripped interior as well, you can DEFFO tell the difference.

Well thats my opinion anyway!

iirc, the functionality of 4-1 and a 4-2-1 are different, 4-1 puts a little top end, and 4-2-1 gives a little bottom end. Build on the cars strengths and go 4-2-1. Depends on what the car is for really, if you spend the majority of the time in the top end of the revs, go for the 4-1, if its just a street car go 4-2-1.

In all fairness it makes little difference on these cars, to get the power your after i would advise getting a alloy crank pully system, getting some descent cam's put in etc.

Aswell as that exhaust system, obviosly :P, get the car breathing well before you start replacing engine components :)

Thanks gents for you inputs.
I'm more of an accelerator rather than topend man so i guess 4-2-1 would be best suited.

Thanks again

The 4-1 forces the gasses more because it goes into one pipe rather than two thats the only difference.

Supersprint 4-2-1 is a great manifold. I'm running this with the Supersprint race centre section and race backbox and it's brilliant.

There product's are awsome, performance gain, quality and looks!

I've got the 4-2-1 supersprint on my 98bhp engine was a doddle to fit and would recommend a supersprint to anyone, Just need to get myself the full system now!

Thanks JRC1.
I've been thinking about pairing the exhaust with the supersprint 4-2-1, sounds promising now :D

Also another thing, iirc, 4-1 manifolds hang a little lower than the 4-2-1's and can be damaged by bumps etc easier than the 4-2-1's. Another reason.

No worries. The manifold is so pricey though, especially the 16v one. Have a look around for second hand if your on a budget :y: I got mine off a guy on 106owners.

Got mine off here for £150 rather than £330 - Couldn't justify paying £330.

Me neither. I paid just over £200 but it had only done a couple of thousand so a good saving of over £100 I thought!

Yeah man it works the exact same at the end of the day, I got some Megs polish on it and it's sitting in my bay looking pretty :y:
