gearbox

i have a mk 1 westy,and looking at having a 1.1 box put on my car, is this a direct fit, and will the drive shafts fit into the gearbox or will i need new ones... A few people have been saying the box wont handle the power of a 1.4 engine and will probly last a month??? is this true.. How much should i be looking at for a second hand box , and having it fitted..

it'll be fine, it'll fit, the driveshafts will go in... you're rev's will be much higher than what you're used to for a given speed.

ok cheers , yeah im allready aware of that but id rather have a bit more acceleration anyway, does anybody know what sort of price id be looking at
