ive had a bit of a search and havent been able to find anything. basically i was wondering if you put a turbo on a mk 2 vtr what happens with regards to the cat? would a mk 1 cat be ok or would you be able to remap it so it passes the mot without one? i know its a bit of a noob question so dont slate me too much!

i would get freindly with the mot tester ;) lol but i spose if it is set up correctly and fueling properly you should be fine to run the mk1 cat :)

Turbo cars have cats - just get it mapped properly and it should be fine

not sure about how it works with a saxo turbo but any petrol car nowadays needs a cat, the turbo is only in the manifold and will bolt on to the rest of the system as normal but in regards to a mk1-mk2 as the cat is in the manifold just get the rest of the exhaust system mk1 back, like in my car ive got a mk1 manifold then it meets a mk2 center section going to a mk2 backbox..
hope that helped, sort of
