Over the past few weeks / days I have been going threw loads of different systems / backbox's
And cannot decide what to do, Im 16 But can drive at the start of February, I got £160 For Christmas and wanted to spent it on a new exhaust system as its standard. I have a citroen saxo furio 1.4 2000 model.
I have seen a Sportex full system for £170
My Local halfords store has a Piper 4" Backbox donou the price thow
So I really donou what to do, its either buy a backbox and wait till february, or i can give the money to my parents so we can insure the car and my parents can drive me in it for a month :/ soo confused what to do?
Can anyone suggest wether i should insure a month or Buy an exhaust, if the exhaust, which one?
Want something Loud but not illegal, poppy and sporty :D if thats possible
THanks :D
Remember £160 budget maybe little more

if the car is in your name (on the V5) but yur dad is insuring it with you as a second driver but really you being the main driver, not your dad, its called fronting and is highly illegal, your insurance company will void your insurance in the event of a claim. If the claim is becasue of a crash with another person, you will be held liable to pay the FULL amount of the damage caused which could be anything from £10 - £100,000 ;)
i should know, ive kind of been there, was mods not declared for me

right, so how old is our dad?
I will presume in his mid 30's - mid 40's, i will also presume he has another vehicle family car perhaps?
So, when the time comes when you have an accident and go to make a claim they will obviously come out and look at the car.
"hey daddy, nice exaust, alloys etc etc" they will then look inside the car, "Oh daddy, your into all your dance music i see?" "You also carry condoms in the glove box just incase i see"
They will then go to your neighbers etc and ask who mainly uses the car and so on.
Oh and if its insured with the same company as the other vehicle your dad may insure and use, it will also wipe out his no claims, i can imagine your dad will be very happy about that ;)
Believe me, they will know its not your dads car and will do ANYTHING to prove this.
Do as you please, its seriously no skin off my nose but my god will i laff when the shit hits the fan :)
That is all.

Sportex = £150 for the catback from Online autosport.
But as above, it could land you in a serious ammount of trouble in the event of a crash. Your choice though mate.
