right im a little confused with plugs,
would a ecu of a 99 vts go onto a 2000 vtr? or did the change them in 2000?
sorry if this seems a dumb question but im lookin into doing the conversion

You can't mix ecus between models - the Ecu needs to match the engine. Like vtr Ecu on a vtr engine or a Vts Ecu with a Vts engine.

Type types of Ecu plug, single and 3 plug - 99 will be single and i think 2000 will be single too

i thought the plugs were on the loom and ecu i.e 1 male 1 female.

Are you talking about the Ecu plug or the connector to connect engine loom to car loom?

1999 Vts loom won't plug straight into the 2000 vtr car loom, is a changeover year (single plug Ecu with large loom plug) - the 1999 is a single plug Ecu with small loom plug

both, im just wantin to no if id be better of getting the loom aswell or just gettin a 2000 vts conversion?

You need a loom from a 2000 car to plug straight intou your vtr - as a result you may as well just get a full 2000 vts conversion.

Not unless you want to do a lot of wiring
