Mid silencer/manifolds

hi everyone im looking at either buying a new manifold or grinding the crappy weld off the current one and re welding it as its got a 4-2-1 tubular manifold on it so for the meantime it could be worth re doing it.Are the raceland ones any good ?

I was just wondering whether anyone has bought a centre pipe with a mid silencer as i would like it to be louder and a nicer sound but in my opinion if its really loud its out of proportion to the car and its generally just to loud. So has anyone done this ? if so could you maybe post a video ? and i was also wondering if another silencer would affect performance ?

What car are you reffering to btw? Raceland manifolds are generally decent for the cash but fittment can be quite a bitch in some cases.

I've removed the centre silencer twice on my VTS. Once I had a de-cat and no centre silencer and another time I had a sports cat and no centre silencer and both times it sounded gash imho.

Louder, yes. Performance gain, negligible.

So what have you ended up doing now mate ? and by negligible do you mean that even if there was a performance gain without the mid silencer its not worth it because it would only be little ? thanks :)
